We’re Niki and Eric, best friends and co-founders of Rinkii, a brand created with a simple yet
heartfelt purpose: to bring people closer through the magic of thoughtful, meaningful gifts. For
us, every gift is more than an item—it’s an opportunity to create moments of joy, to connect
deeply with someone special, and to share memories that will last a lifetime.

Niki's Journey to Rinkii

Hi, I’m Niki, one of Rinkii’s founders. The story behind Rinkii began long before Eric and I
started this brand—it was seeded in my childhood. Growing up in a single-parent family, I was
raised by my grandparents while my mom worked tirelessly. My grandparents made sure I felt
cherished, celebrating my birthdays with thoughtful surprises. One of my fondest memories is of
an eight-year-old me saving up all my pocket money to buy a small pouch for my mom on
Mother’s Day. Though she insisted it wasn’t needed, her warm smile showed how much it
meant to her. That moment taught me the deep impact of gift-giving.

Eric and I met in high school 20 years ago, becoming close friends through shared experiences,
laughter, and support. At 15, I had to move to Australia due to family circumstances, and my
friends came together to bid me farewell. Eric’s gifts—a group photo, a handmade stuffed toy,
and a notebook filled with words from my friends—became treasures that carried me through
lonely times abroad. Decades later, I still keep those gifts close, a constant reminder of the
friends who supported me during that chapter of my life.d

Now in my 30s, as a mother, I feel the warmth of those memories when I share my stories with
my four-year-old son. Each year, I make him a handmade gift, hoping that one day he’ll look
back and find the same comfort in his keepsakes as I do.

“I’ve always loved seeing people light up from thoughtful gifts. It’s a simple joy that inspired
us to start Rinkii,” says Eric. Together, we believe gifts are more than just things—they’re ways
to bridge hearts, capture memories, and celebrate life’s milestones. So, at the start of 2024, we
took a leap of faith and launched Rinkii, our online gift shop.
